		<description><![CDATA[Not familiar with &lt;em&gt;The River Rat&lt;/em&gt;, but I have a deep and abiding respect for Mr. Brian Dennehy. I&#039;ll be sure to put it on my radar.

Back when you could get surplus VHS tapes from video stores for a buck, I bought a used copy of &lt;em&gt;Black Moon Rising&lt;/em&gt;. Much like &lt;em&gt;Laura Mars&lt;/em&gt;, Carpenter only wrote the screenplay. Being a straight action thriller, I&#039;m not so sure he&#039;d be the right pick to direct it, but I was also disappointed in Harley Cokeliss&#039; work. It just felt flat, like Eastwood&#039;s &lt;em&gt;Firefox&lt;/em&gt;. In a perfect world, John Frankenheimer would&#039;ve gotten ahold of it, but alas, such was not to be.]]></description>
