Sigh. Alexandria's and Yuri's comments are c&p spam, the former from "Egg City Radio" and the strange album "Bloodnight." The second is from an Amazon review of "Ground Zero," not "The Beyond." Couldn't find Zandre's comment anywhere else, but I have my suspicions based on the spelling of obvious ("obuivos").
I don't rightly recall any nudity in the film. I hesitate to say that's part of the problem, but I guess I would have to admit that the film isn't clever or deep enough to be thought-provoking and isn't nearly sleazy enough to be grindhouse. It falls somewhere in between. I still do inexplicably like it, however. There's something about the look and the sound of "The Beyond" that I find captivating even if it is often aggravatingly stupid or shoddy. I do have to agree with Yuri that I wouldn't spend more than $0.99 on a single viewing of it. Your own mileage may vary.

Hm, I dunno, I don't see anywhere obuivos in the plot description where breasts would have fit in.And I don't see anything about female nudity or exposed breasts in the IMDb , which are generally almost bizarrely thorough. (The plot keywords for Zombi 3 do, for instance, include shovel through throat , digit in title , flying head , and radio reporter . I was kind of curious just how many other movies qualified for the shovel through throat and flying head keywords three and eleven, respectively, as it turns out.)(Moreover, Keith Allison's not only makes no mention of nudity, but has no screenshots with exposed breasts. And you know if there had been any exposed breasts, he would have included a screenshot of them.)So based on the available evidence I'd have to guess that this movie, remarkably, features no mammary manifestation. Though someone who's actually seen the movie can confirm or counter that for sure.

I paid $3.99 to stream this movie and soleiusry want my money back. I'm afraid to pay for streaming now.I don't mind low budget like many people do. I don't mind seeing a string holding up a spaceship, like most people do. To me, it's about the story, not the visual. The picture for the cover is good and interesting. The title implies, to me, a large scale spread of the situation. I have to admit, I didn't watch the last 5 or so minutes so maybe that happened in the end, however, most of the story takes place in a abandoned or in the process of being built, small warehouse type setting. The acting is bad. The one guy, is kind of funny in a goofy way, only because I've known people who act like that. I think Tom Arnold would have been great in that part. The story, it's like a 6th grade class created this.At 40+ minutes, all the while I was surfing the Net, waiting for the story to pick up, I finally had to click forward. I ended clicking forward with about 5 minutes left. I have paid much less for movies I could at least sit through. There are those type of people who find stupidity in acting and storyline funny. If you are one of those, you might find this at least amusing but true horror fans, go elsewhere unless you have run out of options. Still, even desperate, I would not recommend paying more than .99a2 for it.

Thank YOU for reading and commenting. I don't recall when I discovered Argento. Probably back in the olden days of VHS rentals along with Fulci, but Bava is a much more recent fixation.

Myself, I'm 1/4 Italian and have never been to the "Old Country", but I have a deep and abiding love for the history of Rome, Italian composers, and Italian cinema (not to mention, Italian food!). I'm sure this won't be my last foray into Italian film, so I hope you come back and check it out, especially as I get this blog back on some semblance of a schedule.
