I picked up The Saracen Blade from a hotel lending library years ago, and though the style is decidedly out of fashion, it’s a pretty ripping yarn–not to mention rather meticulously researched. Yerby’s due for a renascence a la Anya Seton, I think.

I’ll have to check this out.
